Introduction

In this portfolio, you will discover my work as a student journalist and digital marketer over the past five years—from storytelling and truth-seeking to leading and beyond. As a deputy social media editor for the Daily Californian, I find a sense of freedom in journalism as I work tirelessly to uncover the truth. Whether my pursuits take form in writing, design, social media, marketing or photography, I aim to seek meaning in my work.

These diverse forms of communication inspired me to double major in Media Studies and Political Science at UC Berkeley, where my studies fulfill my ultimate desire to ignite conversation and provoke real change within my community. Prior to joining the Daily Cal, I served as a marketing intern and columnist for my local newspaper, the San Mateo Daily Journal.

During my time as a student reporter, I have taken steps to give back to my community through the power of storytelling. With each article I write, design lesson I lead and digital marketing initiative I take charge of, I discover something new about what it means to be a storyteller.
