Introduction

Introduction

In this portfolio, you will discover my work as a student journalist and digital marketer over the past five years — from storytelling and truth-seeking to leading and beyond. As UC Berkeley senior with years of experience in audience engagement and news writing roles, I find a sense of freedom in journalism as I work tirelessly to uncover the truth. Whether my pursuits take form in writing, design, social media, marketing or photography, I aim to seek meaning in my work.

These diverse forms of communication inspired me to double major in Media Studies and Political Science at UC Berkeley, where my studies fulfill my ultimate desire to ignite conversation and provoke change within my community. Prior to joining the Daily Cal, KQED and the Los Angeles Times, I served as a marketing intern and columnist for my local newspaper, the San Mateo Daily Journal.

With each article I write, post I design and digital strategies I take charge of, I discover something new about what it means to be a storyteller.
